Blue-blooded private island fans the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have jetted off on yet another island vacation, setting off in style to one of the Maldives’ most exclusive locations.
Just weeks after returning from an enjoyable jaunt in the Caribbean, the Duchess of Cambridge has jetted off for yet another private island vacation, this time heading to one of the Indian Ocean’s most exclusive destinations: Cheval Blanc Randheli Maldives.
Leaving baby George in the care of his doting parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, Princess Kate is reported to have whisked her hubby off on a surprise to the Maldives in what has been billed by some as a second honeymoon.
Flying first-class with (who else?) British Airways, the couple – surrounded with an entourage of detectives and security personnel – arrived in the Maldivian capital of Malé yesterday before being whisked off to the five-star Cheval Blanc Randheli private island resort via hydroplane.
Ensconced within the crystalline waters of the Noonu Atoll, the Cheval Blanc Randheli is a relative newcomer to the Maldives private island rental market but has made a huge impact since its opening in November last year.
Continuing the legacy of its sister resort – the swanky Cheval Blanc Courchevel ski resort in France– the luxurious island escape has had no trouble attracting famous faces, with Hollywood stars and luxury tycoons alike all flocking to the resort to unwind amongst the utmost in exclusivity.
Described by its owners as an “intimate and contemporary haven”, Cheval Blanc Randheli boasts only 45 luxury tropical villas, each of which is home to its own 41 foot infinity pool and an extravagant decking area which leads down to an exquisite private beach.
