Just days after making their engagement official, it seems that Hollywood star Johnny Depp and fiancée Amber Heard are already planning a private island wedding in the Bahamas.

Ladies, get your tissues at the ready – it seems that everyone’s favourite Hollywood heartthrob, Johnny Depp, is officially off the market once more. After just eighteen months of dating Rum Diary co-star Amber Heard, rumours are rife that Depp and Heard are set to tie the knot in an intimate island wedding ceremony on his private island retreat in the Bahamas.
After falling in love with island life during a swash-buckling shoot for Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp decided to invest in his own island home, buying 45-acre Little Hall’s Pond for USD 3.6 million in 2004. Home to 6 beautiful beaches and accessible only by seaplane or boat, the island forms the perfect retreat for the notoriously private star, who once described the island as “instant freedom”.
Located in the Exuma Land and Sea Park region of the Bahamas, Little Hall’s Pond Cay now looks set to feature as the breath-taking backdrop to stars’ up-coming nuptials. According to an insider close to the couple, the pair is planning “a small intimate ceremony barefoot on the beach” followed by a barbecue and limbo dancing – all accompanied by live music provided by some of Johnny’s friends.
The island has formed something of a cornerstone in the relationship between Depp and Heard, with the couple flitting to the island at every opportunity in order to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation. The versatile Hollywood hero an old-school romantic is even said to have named a section of the island after his fiancée, after noticing one of the coves followed the same contour as her hip.
