The private island party season has begun in earnest, with huge New Year’s parties thrown all across the Caribbean, including on Mustique Island and Necker Island.
After enjoying a huge family reunion in Great Britain, the snake-hipped Rolling Stone front man packed his bags and boarded a plane headed toward sunnier climes. Arriving in the Caribbean just in time for a wild celebration, the Jagger clan continued their celebrations by seeing the New Year in style at Mick’s luxurious villa on Mustique Island.
Located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Mustique Island is the crown jewel of the West Indies, attracting a smorgasbord of celebrities year after year. Renowned for its laid back attitude and its reverence of privacy, the island has become the preferred haven of royals, power-brokers and superstars, many of whom own luxury properties on the island.
With the likes of David Bowie, Tommy Hilfiger and Mick Jagger all amongst the proud homeowners on Mustique, you’re never far from a star-studded celebration on this picturesque private island.
And indeed, the Jaggers weren’t the only stars to get away from it all over the festive season, with art dealer Charles Saatchi and his new girlfriend Trinny Woodall also spotted partying with Kate Moss and Bryan Adams on a super yacht anchored just off the island’s shores.
Whilst the likes of Saatchi and Woodall only hung around until the 30th December, the remaining stars were reported to have danced the night away at Jagger’s residence, before a enjoying a fabulous firework celebration to mark the beginning of the New Year.
One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles was also hotly tipped to join the Jaggers for the three days of debauchery, after receiving an invitation from Sir Mick’s 21 year old daughter, Georgia May. Sources were close-lipped about whether the teen sensation made it to the party, however – maybe he decided to live the high life on Necker Island instead?
