Invites to swanky soirees are nothing unusual for Harry Styles and co., but it looks like this time the boys from One Direction have got a ticket to top them all, with Sir Richard Branson inviting the international chart-toppers to a rip-roaring knees-up on Necker Island, his private island home in the Caribbean.

According to several reports in the British media, the 63 year-old entrepreneur is keen to book the boy-band as a show-stopping highlight to his riotous New Year’s Eve party in the British Virgin Islands. Already a highlight amongst A-List party circuit, this year’s festivities are set bigger and better than ever, as Branson officially unveils his latest project – Virgin Galactic.

As the rest of the world gears up to bid a fond farewell to 2013, Sir Richard Branson and his celebrity guests will be saying hello to Virgin Galactic – whose very first sub-orbital space voyage is scheduled for the end of 2014. With Branson’s big bash signaling the official countdown to the take-off, this star-studded party is guaranteed to be out of this world!

“Officially the bash is being thrown to celebrate the start of space flights with Virgin Galactic which are due to be launching by the end of 2014, but it will not be a ‘worky’ event,” according to a source with close connections to Branson. “Sir Richard wants everyone to let their hair down and have a good time. He has invited guests to stay for a decadent party.”

Heart-throb Harry Styles is no stranger to the delights of Branson’s paradisiacal Caribbean retreat, after spending a wild week on Necker after his unceremonious split from American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift. Amid reports of hot-tub parties and beachside boogying, the ‘Hazza’ is said to have expressed interest in signing up for the Virgin Galactic program.

The likes of Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher and Brad Pitt have already secured tickets for the space-ship’s maiden voyage, each reportedly shelling out in the region of GBP 150,000 to be there on day one. Perhaps Styles and Branson can come to an agreement – Harry in the boys see in the New Year on Necker in return for a ticket to outer space. Sounds good to us!
