Celine Dion has placed her second private island estate up for sale, with Jupiter Island in Florida entering the market for a cool USD 72.5 million.
Canadian songstress Celine Dion has this week placed another of her private island paradises on the market, listing her Florida island escape for an estimated USD 72.5 million. The incredible six acre Bahamian-style estate is located on Jupiter Island, an exclusive barrier island home to the likes of Tiger Woods, Nick Price and boasting the second highest per capita income in the whole of the United States.
Designed as an exclusive family retreat by the singer and her husband René Angélil, construction of the estate began in 2010, reaching completion some two years later in 2012. Encompassing an incredible 400 foot-long waterfront, the estate is more akin to a holiday resort than a private residence, thanks in part to its huge water park – made up of three grand pools adorned with slides, bridges, water-gun stations and even geo-thermal heating.
Consisting of a 10,000 square foot main residence, an eight-bedroom guesthouse, five pavilions and an array of other outstanding structures, Dion’s opulent estate is without a doubt one of Florida’s most lavish properties. The dizzying list of stand-out features includes a beach-hous e with built-in barbecue area, a simulated golf range, an impressive tennis house with tennis court and – one for the ladies(!) – a simply staggering walk-in wardrobe with fully-automated clothes and shoe racks.
Widely reported to have used by the famous singer and her family on only two separate occasions since its purchase four years ago, the chic, contemporary Floridian island estate remains very much like new and is set to be sold turn-key, with all luxurious amenities – such as the decadent hot tub, the fully-appointed high-tech media room, and much, much more – already included within the asking price.
The difficult decision to sell the property is thought to have been brought about as a result of the Titanic singer extending her record-breaking residence at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas until 2019. Due to her extensive show commitments, opportunities for trans-continental travel will be limited, and so it is widely believed that the French-Canadian chanteuse and her family are looking to relocate to Nevada.
