Her work is famous throughout the world, with creations by her eponymous DKNY label much-loved by the likes of Cara Delevigne and Rita Ora, and long since a mainstay on the red carpet. But for once the spotlight isn’t being shed upon New York based designer Donna Karan’s fashion – instead the international glitterati have got their eyes on her home in the Turks and Caicos, after she put her two private island villas on the market for an eye-watering USD 39 million!

Designed by renowned architect Cheong Yew Kuan, the properties feature four expansive bedrooms, including a sprawling second-floor master bedroom with superb sunset panoramas and three further suites for guests. Further highlights include an infinity pool, a professional kitchen space and even a yoga studio.

And as one would expect from someone with such a keen eye for detail, Karan’s pristine private island villas simply ooze with class, boasting a whole host of chic interior accessories and a dreamy décor so beautiful that it can only be rivaled by the unforgettable views of the North Atlantic Ocean.

The residences are dominated by a warm, inviting colour palate which makes use of cedar and coral walls, teak furniture and huge window panels to make the most of the natural light and really make these villas shine. An eclectic collection of sculptures and paintings give the properties a further injection of style.

Tucked away within the tranquil Turks and Caicos, Parrot Cay is a popular choice amongst the international glitterati, with the likes of Bruce Willis, Christie Brinkley and even Rolling Stone rocker Keith Richards counting amongst Karan’s star-studded neighbors. The island is as secluded as it is romantic, boasting wonderful whitewashed properties, a fabulously laid-back Caribbean atmosphere and even an internationally renowned resort, meaning you, too, can enjoy the A-lister lifestyle – without shelling out USD 39 million for the privilege!

That’s right, according to private island vacation experts, Vladi Island Travel, it’s possible to check into the Parrot Cay and COMO Shambhala Retreat for as little as USD 575 per room per night – very reasonable indeed for an island resort that was once awarded with the accolade of being both Conde Nast Traveller’s “Number One Spa in the World” (2004) and their “Best Hotel Spa in the Americas and the Caribbean” (2007).
